Hey guys, any ideas as to what color I should paint my Murci.  I'm getting close.  I'm thinking of Red Pearl or Light Gray Pearl.  I wanna stay away from the typical yellow, etc... 

I like the top two gray colors.

Before you paint, you should see the color in person. You will get many opinions about what color to paint your car from this forum, but the only one that counts is yours. Go see the car in the color you want. There is nothing like seeing the car in person. Photographs, by nature, do not show the lines or the color correctly. Out of a studio, and in the sun, these cars look very different.

Monterey blue!!

~Darker colors if you wanna hide any flaws... brighter color if you have stainless steel balls.... ;D
You should narrow down a few colors and than do a poll here.

p.s. suddenly bring to mind the words " Gold for the honey, Green for the money!"  :D

The #0060 isthe ppg code for Lambo white and the #0059 is red====bright pink. ;D I didnt say you would like it,

I like the light gray pearl . Really good looking on the lambo.

The light gray pearl sounds good.  Anyone have any pictures or better yet, the paint code?

bocelli go up to the second post (I think) it is lovef's post. He has a link there to the lambo colors with the ppg codes. That is where I got the code for the white and red.

Lambo yellow

I like the pearl silver.  Does anyone have any pictures or the color code for it.  I believe there are couple of different silvers.  Dark and light.  I think the light one is nice.

Darker colors actually show more flaws, lighter colors hide them. Look at a black car compared to a light colored one. Any sways in the panel of a dark/black car will be very apparant, whereas a lighter color will hide them. Black and darker car colors are like mirrors, the color will actually accentuate the flaws.

Anything but orange.  I like orange on the murci, but I don't want to see everybody elses color the same as mine.  When I was a hotrodder in the 50's we called it competition orange.

I was considering this dark red.  what do you think guys?

Pearl red, pearl gray, or the new pearl slate blue. Maybe even do the LP650 theme paint with one of these as the base color. Oh yeah, and then let me black out those Gallardo wheels for you! That would be one SICK ride! Turn that bad-boy into an LP650! I can even supply you with the new 2010 style mirrors like mine, they will actually fold in when you shut off the ignition! Think of the interior. Black leather with red stiching. Yours will be even more of a cougar magnet than mine!

I think the Pearl Gray or Pearl Red is gooooddd.  The mirrors sound really good.  Maybe that's what I'll do, the LP650 look with the blacked out Gallardo wheels.  Yum Yum.  I'll try to photoshop the picture to see what it would look like.  I'll post the picture. Thanks Mike.

always orange or yellow....yes, maybe " all " lambos comes with these colours, but, what do you expect ? It´s a Lambo !!  ;D
And is the best colour for sell it, like the red with Ferr@ri....
Dark colours " hide " the air intakes and some details....but dark red is pretty nice !....
White is very popular now, but in a couple of years maybe looks like a fridge.... ;)
Well......a Murci is nice in any colour !! ( or not )
Go with the colour makes you fall in love and forget the other people !

I like the green... It stands out in any crowd.

I realllly wanted to be there and I thought I could, but apparently I had the dates mixed up. I had a prior trip planned out by my wife to Vegas and I thought it was for the week after, but at the last minute I found out it was on the same weekend.  Bummmerrrr!  I hope you all had a great time.  I wish I could had been there.  So, give me the scoop.  How was it.  What was going on there?  I'm thinking of maybe having the next meet at my shop again.  Let me know what you think.  Take care and see you soon.

I think I'm split between the dark cherry RED or the silver Titanium.  Any ideas?

What about the purple paint of Diablo SE30? ;)

Do you know the paint code or any pictures of the Diablo?  I'm not sure what it looks like.

I would go with the red. I think the titanium is dated, and looks more like a Camry color. DONT go with yellow! EWWWWWW! You will definately be the grunt of alot of jokes with that color! Do like merci-me said and make an LP650 though. You'll have the only one! Is he still helping you with your car? I think his accuracy and attention to details is still well above everyone else. Will everything on your car work like his? I think that is one of the features that makes his cars stand out from the rest, nothing is "dummied" in, everything is functional like the real car, everything (illuminated switches, handles, hatch releases, visors, dome lights, foot lights, pedals, etc.) is matched to the real car.

I think you are right.  Maybe the red is a better choice.  Do you have the color code for it?  I'm still in touch with Merci-Me.  He helps me on weekends when he gets a chance.  You are right.  His accuracy and attention to detail is "OUTSTANDING".  I'm very glad he is here to help me out.  Anyhow, thanks for your comment.

Hey, Murcie-me got back to my pm also.  He's going to help me with my build.  I'm so excited.  I can't wait.

You are so lucky man.  He's such a great help.  He can help you with sooooo mannny questions that if you were to try to figure it out on your own, it would be either VERY difficult or practically impossible.  SOme things I tried to do on my own and it came down to try, scratch and start over at least a few times.  Anyhow, good luck and post some pictures.

what about a color that Lamborghini does not have.  Do you think that is a good idea?  You might want to consider it.

WOW......................................How did you get a hold of Murcie-Me, I have both his cell phone and house number and I still can't get a hold of him. I stopped trying after 6 months of no luck, perhaps you the number to his Bat line?
