Finally dynoed my turbo 3.4 dohc....430 rwhp!

hey guys, I haven't posted in a while but I thought I'd share the latest news from my AD355.
After a turbo install and a slipping clutch and some tuning issues I decided to get some help. I took the car to Jeff Ianitello
(Engineered Performance) at Woodstock, GA. Coincidentally he's just a few doors down from Whodeanies's shop.

He installed a Limited Slip Diff in the 282 Getrag and upgraded the clutch to a Spec Stage 3 with an Fidenza aluminum flywheel.
After lot's of chasing vacuum leaks and IAC problems he finally got some serious tuning time in and got her to the dyno.

It makes a solid 430HP at the rear wheels with zero knock retard on 91 octane pump gas.
My goal was 380 HP since that's the output of the 355's engine at the crank, anything over that is gravy. Bottom line is this thing takes off like a rocket now. It is damn fast and has the performance to match the looks.

Here's a link to the dyno graph and some pics of the engine.

Wow! I guess I missed your build. Did you do more to it than an intercooler and turbo?

I guess I haven't been too good about keeping a thread updated with all the changes I've done. The engine internally is pretty much stock.

I added a laundry list of parts, here's what I can remember off the top of my head.

    Garrett 30-76R turbo and intercooler
    Spec stage 3 clutch
    Fidenza aluminum flywheel
    custom short runner intake
    GM 7727 PCM with $8f
    Greddy Profec boost controller
    Tial wastegate
    Greddy blowoff valve
    Innovate wideband
    42lb injectors
    walbro fuel pump
    powersteering delete pulley
    undersize pulley

Dude lets get some vids up!! I really want to hear what she sounds like. I have been looking at this setup or a 3.8SC w/ turbo and inter-cooler.

    Awesome! congratulations!

    have you weighed the car?

Is this the stretched version of the AD355?

Looks killer and is probably faster than the real thing to boot.

    Bring on the videos please.
I am curious to see what you did to make it sit so low.

bowser: The weighs in right under 3100 lbs. This is not a stretch. doesn't need it with the extended windshield.
Jdinner: the suspension is HMS widetrack front end with the 2" drop knuckles and rear bumpsteer kit with adjustable coilovers. It was actually a little too low when the pics were taken since I scrape the bottom coming into my driveway. I've since cranked the front up a couple of threads and that helps and it still looks plenty low. Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I used the Rodney Dickman lowering ball joints up front as well.

Love it! 430whp is no joke. Any E85 availability where you are at the pump? We have it everywhere here and it really helps with knock suppression at big boost levels. If the real car makes 380hp at the crank, you're putting ~100whp on top and would make a real Ferrari look silly

Here's the dyno graph in case some of you had trouble seeing the Picasa link. There are two runs with two boost levels superimposed on each other. the lower one at 8psi and the higher at 12.5psi
