    Murci Door cards install

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone have any idea as to how to put the door cards on the door without any screws showing.

We have the following parts on the door cards:

    1. The large base panel
    2. The arm rest
    3. The window runner
    4. The shoulder pad
    5. The cover around the dash

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Mike

Don't laugh.. but I was actually considering using industrial velcro. This is the stuff with the "hook latch" built into both sides (called dual lock) so you don't have a fuzzy hook side and it lays really flat.

I've used it for other projects and have found the sheer strength to be amazing. It's the lift that brings it apart but still takes some effort so if you use it correctly it should work nicely.

Bolt the small pieces to the back of the main panel. You may have to make tabs or something to catch them.
Make a steel tab for the armrest attached to the main inner door frame. Put mounting screw on bottom of handle and front edge of speaker box.
Use upholstery christmas trees around the perimiter of the main piece. Could also use aveco clips.

I see what Auveco clips are., but do you think that would hold all of these parts on the door?

I bought my velco from EBay.

    Search for dual lock velcro.

Theses are the same style clips that hold most door panels to thel exterior car door. If the are strategically placed they work great. Had then on my diablo for 4 years with no issues.
Just be sure to bolt the small parts to the larger parts
