My official AD355 build thread. (Sactodreamer)

We I figured it was about time I started an official build thread on my car since I've actually been building on it lately. ;D So, what did you do on your Saturday night until 3AM? I pulled my engine for my engine swap. ;D (I'm married and have kids so Saturday nights are not what they used to be ;D )

Looks scary. Be careful. What sort of engine is going in?

I bought a never installed 3.4 push rod crate motor for $600. I would rather do a 3800SC but that would cost close to $4K where as this one should be closer to $1K. I have a 70K mile complete 2.8 from an 88 I was going to put in but couldn't get over swapping the same performance engine in after all that work. I'll probably swap in the 3800SC in a few years when the budget allows.

It might be a good idea to pop over to your local NAPA and get a few cheap jack stands. That rig looks a bit like riding a stunt bike with a real bad problem waiting to happen if the chain lets go on you.
If you're not confused, you're not paying attention.

NO KIDDING!!!! that rig you got hooked up looks ...... WOW! scary. I wouldnt be so concerned about the chain but more so the hydraulics in the hoist itself. I've seen those seals blow and boy is it brutal.

    Hello Guys,

It has been a year since I have been on the board. Good to read all of your post on hear. I have had some family issues to deal with the past year but those are behind me now and I'm ready to finish my car. I prepped the body for paint for this up coming weekend. The interior needs just a few loose ends completed and wheels and tires. Do you guys have any suggestions regarding wheels. I have a limited budget for wheels, maybe $600 to 1200 for wheels. Would 19" wheels work on our Watson kits or are they to big. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys hopefully I will finish my car in the next 30 days.

    Neal
