    Update on my project 2: F40 Build, LM style, 4.9 cadi

    Decided to start a new thread for my build.

    Am wondering if anyone here has done thier own anti-bump steer set up for the rear of the fiero? The construction is fairly simple and i know a semi-retired professional welder/fabricator to help me get the exact deminsion right. Would anyone have a diagram of the deminsions? If not anti-bump steer then I will be fabing a suspension to widen the rear by 3 inches.

    I will be moving my coilovers 3 inches outboard like Funnywheels. If anyone has additional picts advise please send them on. Would like to go wider but more than 3 inches will require changing that frame geomotry in that area correct?

    As many of you know I have a great set of Enzo tires and will be going with corvette Z06 rims. Has anyone here done a 19 inch wheel set on a fiero kit that can give me some advice?? Am wondering about the suspension being able to reach the off-set with a 3 inch widened rear suspension set up and some shallow wheel spacers.

    Mike;

    I have a set of 18" x 7.5" or 8" on my kit. I built out a custom set of A-Arms front and back. You can see the build up in my Don's Build progress thread under general discussion. I did not use wheel spacers on my build as I had clearance at the coil overs on the rear and the edge of the rim.

    Dave Newman, under Funnywheels goes topless, also shows how he did his extended a-arms and he also used a set of wheel spacers that convert the Pontiac hubs to Ferrari bolt patern as well as give the wheel spacers. I beleive he needed spacers to offset the rim away from the coil over area as his rims are wider.

    Good luck

    I installed the complete drivetrain from a FWD 93 Deville. I widened approx 3 inches by lengthening the stock Caddy lower control arms. I went with 5/16 " plate so it would be stout. Hard to see in the pics but that is all I have.
    I used Held coil-overs and built my own shock towers. I used 10 inch wide Cobra "R" wheels with a 1 inch wheel spacer. I cut the spacer from the center of an old set of mag wheels.

    Could I get some more picts of your rear suspension Dave? Just don't know if my Enzo tires with 19 x 12 Z06 wheels and a 59mm off-set are going to work. Even with a spacer. I would really love to see anyone's picts of wide rear suspension components so i can start fabbing my own, especially control arms. Moving the tower 3 inches out is about as fas as the unaltered frame will allow right Dave?
