    question about AREA 51 KUSTOMS

As a first post I would like to say thanks for the vast amount of knowledge available on this site. I have browsed for a while now and seem to learn more about replicas each time.

My main question is regarding a company that I am thinking of purchasing from. Area 51 Kustoms--Robert Stewart
Has anyone dealt with them before, and if so how was the experience? I am thinking of just having them put a kit together for me (exterior only), the inside I will do myself.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This should be fun ;D If you ever want to get a completed car, I would think twice. You might get some very nicely shaped foam.

You are very wise to come here and ask questions about this company.. As far as I know he has half started a bunch of bodys and never come close to finishing anything..

Here is some of Roberts fine craftsmanship in process....Its also the "Area 51" research and developement main workshop.. :-\

Whatever you do, dont put any money down.. There is a good chance you wont get your car or money back..

Before you even think of doing ANYTHING with robert, read the consumer warnings here!

My favorite part is when eacreations joins the discussion

you will notice this mostly occured back in 2003 and claims were made that he was already producing fully built McLaren f1 replicas. If you believe that history repeats itself.. you would be right.

Re: question about AREA 51 KUSTOMS

swoodard23, Mr Ferrari, lowboost, and powerhouse Thanks for the comments, I think you really summed it all up for me.

Maybe I should rephrase my question just a tad. I would be purchasing a body kit from a seller named "John" in Florida. I have searched his eBay and found that his name is fantasyachtshare. I think that the kit looks good enough for what I am doing, but am having trouble finding someone to put the kit on the body. That's where Robert S. came into play.

So on to more questions. Has anyone seen this (http://4wheelsblog.com/strange/2007-...g-spur-replica) bodykit on anything other than that BMW 740

    AND

If I wanted it installed, who is a good person to go to??

Thanks again for all of the helpful comments.

In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!
