355 door locks yes or no ?

Just wondering what your views are, but i can not decide if the 355 looks better with or without the door locks ( ie the black circular barrel for key entry ).

In theory since the door handles are hidden anyway, from a design point of view its strange the door lock is still on view externally - but when photoshopping the lock out, it looks as though a detail is missing.

On mine there are no locks yet, so would be easier to leave as is !!! but like all of us, we want to get our carsl looking as good as possible.

    Any thoughts ?

personally, I think the locks should be there and working if possible. My vote would be to add them in even if they are just for looks. If you do add them, the real 355 locks are flush with the door so from the side you can not see them.

I too was wondering the same thing. To add them, check that the door f-glass has enough girth to cut a hole with a backing (3/16 to 1/4 inch). I bought a replacement set of door cylinders (GM). Took a small drill bit to pilot, then took a forstner bit used for plug holes in wood to inset the cylinder. Don't drill too far, then take a die grinder with a small carbide tip to open up the hole. Slide the lock in, and use the orig backing from a wreck yard cyl. This works great with a minimal amount of body work. Eric
