Not that I don't believe you, Wedgedriver, but it sounds improbable.

Most of your losses in engines are not in combustion, but in heat. If i remember my thermo classes right, you lose 2/3 of the gasonline's energy as heat (why we have a radiator). The combustion process is not the most efficient way to get energy.

But if you don't believe me:

the process, is more for fuel breakup than dombustion. the butterfly theory is that the circular air pattern mixes more air to fuel, (atomizing the fuel) you may need a higher pressure fuel pump, but you can pump a smaller rate of actual fuel.

Well I just can say one thing.
The more you learn about kit cars, the more suspicious you get of scams. So, all we can do is go on with the same procedure as we go with kit cars.

    - Do you have any pics of this carburetor instaled on your dad's car as you mentioned?
    - How did you figure this 12 hp increase in power? Did you go to a dynamometer? If so, can you post the scanned power & torque curves?
    - How did you mesure the gas mileage, since according to the website it's dependant of how warm the engine is?
    - At what kind of wheather were the tests made, at what altitude?
    - What is your total mileage with one gas tank, and for how much time can you keep travelling?
    - If your car has a computer that shows the instant gas mileage, could you show us a picture of it displaying 112 mpg?

    That's about it...
When this baby hits 88 mph, we're gonna see some serious sht!
