    Smyth Performance G3F

    Hey guys/gals,

Just read this over on the autoblog website, any of you ever heard about it. (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/29/r...orm/#continued)

It's supposed to be a kitcar based on a vw jetta, they cut of the rear, move the engine to the middle, drive the back-wheels and put a slick sexy body on it (designed by Mark Smith, co-founder of factory five racing, this is a new project of his).

Imagine this with a tweaked VR6 engine I think it's pretty sweet, what do you guys think? Once they complete it, this might well be my first attempt at a kitcar

Good concept, and love the extra weight off this thing.
Those rims look bigger the the 17" wheels the kit is suppose to come with. In todays world 20" should be mimimum.
Roof line kinda of kills it for me. The car looks good but does not wow me. I think the car could use an extra 2" to 4" stretch to follow the back lines also.

Anyone remember the Jackrabbit from the 1980's?

I've gotta a feeling this is the new version of that.

It looks like a GTM. Hell if it's cheaper than the gtm to build I'd buy it...
