got any new shape beetle ideas?

not sure if this is in the correct section, if not admins feel free to move it

The wife really wants a new shape beetle as her daily driver within next 5 years (once the two little ones have out grown the double buggy!) i'm thinking of getting one and working on it over that time to create something a little more interesting.
My initial ideas have been to try and chop the front end up a bit and recreate a similar but modern equivalent of the original long bonnet beetle (1960's stye) and similar on the rear end.
I hate the new beetle bonnet and rear end as they just don't work in my opinion, this will probably be quite hard but could look the nutz, the other thing I would like to see is if the wings (especially the rears could be blended/joined in to the body for a more porsche 996'ish look) my problem is that I have no skills for photoshop or 3d modelling and my hand sketches are poor to say the least lol
I would love to see what ideas you guys and girls have, or if anyone would be able to sketch up something for me.
also if anyone knows the mechanics/body of the beetle that could advise on the chance of a successful change at the front please let me know.

Take care and bless you all

Her is an old shape Beetle idea. I did this car some years back. 2 feet was removed from the wheelbase. It was a fun little car!

The windshield was a stock Superbeetle. The motor was not moved. The center of the car was removed as well as the back seat and roof. Very few aftermarket parts were used. Mostly parts from other junk cars. It took me 11 months for this project.

im guessing that would be all but impossible on a new bug but it looks like a well fun car that would get a lot of double takes
