Aston Martn DB9 Volante made on a 95 Celica

Does anybody know something about this conversion that was for sale at http://www.totalheadturners.com/ and on http://www.carandclassic.com. No info about the kit and the builder... I've posted on my blog because is a very rare example, but no one told me if the kit is available.

This is a Dave Jones kit. I only think 2 where ever built. Also the kit is not available as unfortunetly Mr Aston found out and put a stop to the kit.

When you see this car complete it looks really nice, shame it never made it.

Phil, this kit unfortunately never got off the ground due to the AM lawyers, I think this was the demo car.

    thats his site

i know that he was allowed to build only one for himself so i doubt that there were/are two
there is a modified version with california-style rearlights, i think f430 frontlights and the typical aston grill edges were just removed....
so it doesnt look even a bit like the am such a shame
i saw some pics i think on the extremoc....

It was my understanding that he modified the kit, and it's called the GTD? He had pictures at one point; good looking kit, not sure if it's still in production.
