    Pantera - Fiero Rebody

While in Phoenix last weekend I saw a Pantera driving along the highway. It really is a sexy looking car. Big V8 power and a pretty easy transfer from a Fiero.

There is a fellow over on Pennock's that has the moulds for the Pantero which retrofits the Fiero into a short version of the Pantera. It looks a little high since the Fiero is about 4-5" taller than the oem Pantera and it is 5" short but overall the car looks pretty good. He also made some wheel flares and front air dam to replicate, pretty closely, the GT5 version of the Pantera as an additional package to the basic kit. He also made a chopped version which drops the roof down by 3" so it really looks better with that done.

Has anyone else seen other Pantera replicas or what are your thoughts about a Pantero replica?

A couple pics taken from the Pennock's site showing the original Pantero version and the chopped GT 5 version. Stretch the chopped back end out the 5" and I think you woudl have an incredible looking replica.

    Here's his thread as well.

Another look at the chopped version which I think is the much better looking version.

    Maybe a 5" stretch???

I like the last pic! the only mod I would make would be to shrink the fender flares as I think they are too large at present.

    Fran;

What comes with the panels if you were to pull a set?

I am assuming in the list below:

    front clip
    front hood inner and outer?
    Rear clip
    Rear clamshell
    roof panel?
    Rockers
    door panels
    Headlight buckets?

Any way to see how tall these would be compared to a Fiero? I am pretty sure the Fiero is 46.9" tall and the Pantera docs on the net say 41.5"?? That would be a pretty big change up of panels cutting and pasting to make it work on a Fiero even chopped?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks
    Don

Edit: BTW, the Pantero panels are sold for, I think, $4000 by the fellow over on Pennock's. He also built an interior dash and centre console. Not saying any other prices wouldn't be reasonable but that is what he was selling his for. maybe more now, as I haven't kept up in the past year or so.

the whole cab is one section... fenders/rear quarters/windshield surround included
    Hood innner and outer,
    door outers only.
    front and rear bumper covers,
    rear deck inner and outer...

These are race panels not street panels and were used when building full tube frame racing Panteras was necessary to win races.....and unfortunately they would not be 4k per set.

I'm very impressed by the GT5 kit. Can't wait to see the complete product.
