DDR and American super car concept?

    Hey whats up fellow builders,
I was just browsing and i came across these two websites, i was wondering if anyone dealt with these companies or know about their quality of work?? I'm still deciding if i want to go the replica route or try something totally different but my issue as of right now is what tube chassis has better quality and not limit me to only being able to use one type of kit.
    Thank you

DDR seems like a nice kit with a lot of room for customization but also alot of room for work. The suspension isnt already plotted so it looks like youd have to weld on your own shock and strut mounts. You source your own LSx, G50 or G52, Speedometer and other garages look to be auto meter lunar series, it would be nice to know if the door hinges are included and the struts for those. the windows dont seem to be functional, and no rear window. I will go take a look at their facility at the end of the month hopefully its all cool.

Im not affiliated with them in anyway shape or form. I found this thread on the 3rd page of the google results for DDR i was just trying to find out the same info as you so I emailed them and got this.

    The email:
    Hello Mr.Hall

    Welcome to DDR Motorsport

    To answer your questions:

1- Are there any kits that are currently street legal in the US?

    Yes

2- I have an address in Florida and Ohio and I would like to know if I
would be able to register my kit car. Florida would probably be easier
with the lack of emissions testing.

I have register cars here and is a 10 minute easy to do operation.

3- Are there any visibility problems with the lack of a rear window?

When I drive them there is no problem for me. However, you can install
a backup camera if you want to feel more comfortable.

4- Most G50 transmissions I've seen for sale don't come with the
axles? Which axles do you use to hold LSx Torque?

    CMS

5- When it says front suspension is needed, is that A-Arms plus shocks
and springs? Which would I need to use C5 parts? C6 parts? MR2 parts?

For the GT4 we use MR2 and for the Acura kit the Mustang II and for
    the GT8 the C5.

6- Are the shock mounts in the rear already on the frame?

    No

7- Related to my previous question what axles did you use to get a C5
    bolt pattern?

    CMS

8- What would be the widest wheel that would fit with proper offset
and backspacing.. and what offset and backspacing should be used? the
is for an 18" and 20" rim

We use 9.5? +22 in front and 11? +22 rear. But is possible to put
    wider wheels in rear.

9- Which rack and pinion/ steering column should be used?

For the GT4 we use MR2 and for the Acura kit the Mustang II and for
    the GT8 the C5.

    10- Are the doors included?

    Which doors?

11- What did it mean by "1992 2002 Mazda RX-7 door rear view mirror "
    - Rx7 rear view mirrors?

When you go to our web page to Gallery, there?s a blue car shown there
and that car has those mirrors.

12- Would the kit fit on a car trailer I see in one picture you have
    two kits on a trailer.

    Yes

13- Is your facility open to viewing. I will be in Ft Lauderdale from
August 30 - September 7 and I would like to see what exactly comes in
    the kit.

Yes, but you have to let us know with 2 weeks in advance to make an
    appointment.

14- Do you include any type of wiring diagram for the headlight , turn
    signals, tail lights etc.

    Yes

15- Do you have any other pictures of completed GT8's for GT4's I
would like to see bigger pictures of the Transaxle /LS1 assembly.

    Not at this time.

16- This is also related to the registration tilting question, but do
you include a MSO , Title or Proper bill of sale with the frame.

    Yes

17- What is the normal turn around after production?

    Don?t understand your question.

18- Was the DDR featured of battle of the super cars?

No, I never heard about it.

Any additional questions let me know and I'll gladly answer them.

I have seen the chassis, it is very nice. The welds have good penetration and has the metal tunel. I think it is a fair price for a complete suspension set up, but I think I could source the other components in the roller.
