just your thoughts....Murci Supervolce spoiler on my diablo replica?

Thinking about making and putting a Murcielago Supervolce spoiler on my Diablo vt replica... I cut off my VT replica spoiler, it looked too bulky or thick unlike the real one, and i really like how the Murci Supervolce spoiler connects to the bumper... just your thoughts.. keep in mind, I'm not a die hard to the "T" exact replica guy... I'm at the stage of finishing the lines and almost ready to paint. My car looks really great now without the spoiler but....

    Post pics of your car!

The good thing with the Diablo is you have options. The SV, 6.0 and the GT and SVR spoilers you can use. I don't think the Murcielago wing will look right on the Diablo. I would even consider using an Aftermarket carbon fiberwing that goes to a 3000GT. They look sharp and I've seen some other exotics use them but they are expensive and rare to find. The designs are completely different on the SV Murcielago wing and the Diablo body lines and won't look right. Not to mention @$$hole elitists will probably be calling you a ricer. :

My vote is wingless. Stick with the purity of the basic design. Most Lambos you see have a wing or spoiler of some kind. However, when you see one without it, its really shocking how beautiful the basic design itself is without some appendage attached. Also, with regards to kit cars and replicas, it seems that all too often the spoiler/wing or placement there of is usually a dead give away that its not an authentic. Most Countaches I've seen had wings that were either too thick, angled horribly or mounted too far forward. And, like you mentioned, the rear wing on a real Diablo is usually more thin than that of those normally found on replicas.

So again, I say wingless. You know it just slows it down and reduces your gas mileage anyway.

Go with an SV wing is my vote. It looks hot!

    Is that a NAERC kit?

I remember in a issue of "Kit Car" magazine a few years ago someone made a mold off snowboard for a rear wing on a Lamborghini replica. They reshaped a bit and it looked really good on the car. Depending on your demographic area you may be able to find a snowboard for almost nothing and give you good starting point for a mold. Just a thought.... ???
