    Tubular chassis

I've thought for some times about building a spaceframe chassis to wich every Fiero system would bolt... drivetrain, suspension, steering rack, steering, brakes, heater, air conditionner, power steering, etc....
    It would be aluminium panelled...
The cabin would always stay in the same location but it would be easy to fabricate the rear section to the length/width desired...
    Any buyers? ;D

Can you give a price estimate? What experience do you have in building a tube chassis?

    Re: Tubular chassis

Absolutly no price and no experience !!!
Just an Idea I'm throwing around to see if there are reactions to it!!! Sorry if I mislead anybody!!

But I think the idea is worth exploring and discussing with knowledgeable chassis builders anyways!!

    Cheers!!!

RKS Design.net has a tube chassis they build for the diablo which is cost effective, strong, and easier to work with than a fiero. everything from the fiero bolts on aswell.

    Re: Tubular chassis

I would be interested in a chassis as mentioned. I have the urge to build a 360 on one powered by a 32 valve Northstar with a Porsche 6 speed transaxle. If it held a new style Corvette front suspension and were in the 10K range or less, that would be great.
If you're not confused, you're not paying attention.
