    F50 replica on NSX chassis

I came across this on the ricer forums and they said it was the best F50 replica they have ever seen and i think they are right.

    http://www.6park.com/enter7/messages/gvk21098.html

it may take a long time but its the best Ferrari F50 replica i have ever seen and this could be the best chassis for all say the Enzo!. Its a great thing they took that NSX from being a ricer to a Ferrari.
So whats wrong with a replica?

Here is the third thread that was posted on this same car....

    http://www.madmechanics.com/yabbse/i...p?topic=4033.0

I believe this car has been mentioned more but these are the four threads I found on my lunch break at work just now. If I had more time I'm sure there is more about this project posted on this forum.

No harm, no foul. Just posted the other links that have been mentioned before. It is still a cool car. I am not sure that I would want to start out with such an expensive donor car though. But then again, some of us have $20,000 into our fiero chassis to make them sufficient, so I guess if you are already starting out with a good donor like an NSX not a lot of mods would be needed.

Re: F50 replica on NSX chassis

Well you could start of using a fiero but lets face the facts a fiero based will not look that great and also the performance of the orginal NSX is better than a Fiero with a V8swap. The normal NSX can stay with a Viper GTS when drivin right so just think of it this replica will not be some slow car at least the NSX packs some performance at a reasonable price. If the NSX surpasses 30grand then i would say its a bad deal because then i know for a fact the car will cost more than 75k when its all said and done. Its very difficult to rip apart a real NSX but after looking at the F50 i wouldnt mind looking for a NSX and trying to do something like that to my car. Just think about it the NSX is becoming the new Fiero in the Kitcar world so dont be suprized if in a few years you will be seing Lamborghinis based on NSX chassies.

Re: F50 replica on NSX chassis

I still think the all-aluminum body and chassis will keep the NSX off the kit car market. The car would not be easy to stretch or weld correctly, and considering 2004 was the last year, it's a prized collectors' item now. And with 240 to 280 built each year, it will hardly be accessible.
Damn shame though. Besides the car looks awsome already, F50 or not, it's a dream.
