Chrysler Manual shift auto that is

Hey maybe Italianknightrider is on to something. He suggested some time back about running one of the 606 Chrylser longitudinal auto transaxle. Take a look at this site and see what they offer. I am seriously reconsidering.
At least I can find a side photo of it to model! ;D

Looks like they use good parts (Transgo and Presicion Industries), but the 606 is not listed under the Dodge section.

Bob I noticed that too but I followed links to their site from an Intrepid forum and one of the guys from this site posts there. I can try to find the Intrepid site again if it will help. I plan on calling or emailing them tomorrow. I will post back or invite the guy to post here so maybe we can hear directly.

    Hey guys,

I though you might want to read the email I got from Power Demon Transmission.

    Mike

Thanks for the links, we did off the 42LE in previous versions of Power Demon S and Power Demon R, but have not updated the information since our new Power Demon 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 Series Performance Transmissions release. Quite frankly if the demand is there, we will build it. I have the same upgrade options available for the 42LE crowd as I do the 41TE crowd and more with the Transfer Gear upgrades available to them, unfortunately there has not been a great demand in the past 6 to 12 months.

We currently do not have the capability to make these transmissions shift manually. They must have a factory computer to make them operate, so that may limit the use within your project.

I am open for discussion on this topic and would be more than happy to answer your questions regarding use of the 42LE in your buildup, but understand, unless you are using a full on Chrysler Powertrain Control Module and all itís inputs (TPS, CTS, MAP, MAS, etc.etc.) then the transmission will not operate.

Hope this information helps, even if itís not what you were hoping to hear.

    Thanks,
