    Ebay Ferrari yanked

Looks like the suites got another.
Theres was a smoking hot Daytona replica on Ebay earlier today. This thing looked absolutley perfect. Ever last detail. The bidding was up to around 13 or 14k when it got yanked and Ebay sent out that letter to everyone that bid.

    <<<<<<<<<<<<<
    1852747470 - Ferrari : 365 GTB/4 Daytona

was ended early by eBay for a listing violation. A Verified Rights
Owner, such as a copyright, trademark, or patent owner, notified eBay
that the item or material contained in the listing infringes its
intellectual property rights. eBay takes no position on the authenticity
or authorized nature of such items, but we take appropriate action when
requested by a Verified Rights Owner. Since the listing was ended
early, you as a bidder are not required to complete the transaction.
Sellers that feel their listings may have been ended in error have the
opportunity to get in touch with the relevant person or company or
    contact eBay.

    Re: Ebay Ferrari yanked

I am starting to lose total complete respect for Ferrari. First they stop anyone from making replicas and now if you OWN a replica you can not SELL IT? You can't even buy a 308 from Ferrari. ??? The Dino 308 started in 1973 and stopped in 1980 (I think, some dedicated Ferrari people could help here).

Like the replicas are really stealing business from them? ???

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that Carroll Shelby lost his case against the replicas.

Please don't turn this into a FLAME! ;D

I think it is sad that ebay has done this.

    Re: Ebay Ferrari yanked

Although I'm building a 355 I do sort of see where they are coming from. One reason Ferraris are so cool is because there are so few of them on the road. If everyone starting building replicas, there would be more, and ferraris would lose some of their coolness. Now the amount of replicas which would need to be produced for this to occur is quite large, but nevertheless it is in the best interest of Ferrari to protect their name while they can.
