Nissan Skyline and Silvia S15 kitcars now available to US!

    http://www.skyline-imports.com/

    R32 $10000-$30000
    R33 $12000-$35000
    R34 $18000-$65000

    Silvia S15 kits available $18000-$22000

I emailed the man that runs it (several times), and it seems that he is a nice guy that runs a good business.

He said that the cars are brought over in separate pieces ( engine separate from the body) so there isn't some sort of import tax. Then the body and engine are shipped to his business for modification to be 49 state road legal (sorry california) All you have to do is get a title and you have a skyline?!

sounds ok to me so far...
I wish I had the funds...

umm that is interesting that the URL doesnt work for me.

I have seen about 3 Skyline replicas, one of them was built on a Acura Legend which looked an R-33 and R-34. Then i saw a very nicely done 2005 G35 converted to a GTR in person.
So whats wrong with a replica?

the appeal of the skyline was never its performance, but rather its potential. if you fork over some big money, those can easily get 800hp realiably. in their stock form, the supra and the skyline are simply nice sports cars.

Yeah they are almost unbeatable when you do the right suff to it but they can cost and arm and a leg. I've seen a guy over in Japan that owned a Skyline R33, spent 45k on just motor alone and about 250k for the rest of the car. He only made about 630hp and toped out at around 288kpm.

If you go over to the Supra store i see a few Supra's that run for around 120k or more also.

Indeed, URL work fine for me, otherwise I wouldn't post it . G35 to a GTR? Yeesh. Seems like a waste of a perfectly nice G35 to me. Was there much of a G35 left aside from the frame it was built on?

No offence to you or your Neon but I think that the skyline had to have some problems or the guy just couldn't drive or it was a Gts-t not a GT-R (big difference). I have owned and still own a skyline. It is not the fastest car stock but it is still fast in the right hands. I will agree with you about the new Skyline, it will be a beast (at least here in Japan)
