Well, Glad to see my picture post works!

Looks AMAZING spyder! What type of turn signals are those? And how did you get the body lines to match up so well? And the mirrors? Are those fibreglass 355 replica mirrors with Benz turn signals or Benz Mirrors all together?

    Thanks!! ;D
The turn signals are stock Ferrari (European).
A neat trick to get the door panels to line up with the front and rear is to use metal conduit (found in the electrical department at any home improvement store) place it in the indention the separates the top to the bottom attach it with rope in the front and rear in the wheel wells.
On the mirrors I just added the mirror turn lights from the SLK.
Since the mirrors were already together it would have been easier to have bought the Mercedes mirrors as a unit and made an extension to make it taller like the Spyders.
Since I’ve seen how your mirrors look right now, it wouldn’t be that hard to add.

Ok, you can see a few things that I need to finish here.
The taillights are going to be all Corvette back up lights, the solid red one’s wont be on her much longer. I have led bulbs so the clear centers will light up red.
The exhaust just needs to be rerouted out the back. I cut out the lower part of the trunk so the pipes can come out straight.
I need to break out the black paint and paint the windshield header and below the rear bumper.

Slowly but Surely, just need more Time and Money…. :'(

Can you tell me more about the method you used to mount the body? I read over what you wrote a few times and can't seem to picture in my mind the method you used.

Looking awesome so far. What did you do about wheels. They look fairly flat like real Ferrari , not deep dished. You do the extended A arm conversion front and rear?

If memory serves, he used wheel spacers only.

I used wheel adapter/spacers with wheels that had big offset but retained the flushness to the outside of the rim. The rears are about an inch deeper than the front but not too noticeable. 2 inch spacers on the rear and 2.25 inch spacers on the front.

Maybe you can tell more by this pic.
This helps get the lines straight. *
By loose mounting (temporary) front and rear and doors you can get the lines straighter and see where everything needs to be. Also it helps when a buddy has already built one.
One thing on the kits and the real car, at different angles that you look at the car, the lines will look straight one angle and then wacky at another angle.
Please note, this one isn't my car.

Now I understand, I haven't bought my wheels yet which make that method a little tough to use, but I'll keep it in mind.
    Thanks
