I think it is a bit small and square for any of the 355 kits, you could try a mid engined mini like this one!!

There are some bodykits, but personally I havent come across any full kit cars made form the mk1.

Thats a neat kit.. I like it...

I had a MK1 MR2 and loved the car.. They are fun cars to toss around and rev realy high.. I had the F40 body kit and Fiero at the time I had the MR2 and set the F40 body on the car but it wouldnt fit.. I personaly liked the way the Mr2 drove a lot better than the Fiero and realy wanted to put something on the 2.. But it never happened and I sold the Toyota and bought another RX7 that fell apart just like the three Rx7's I killed before.. I have a relentless love/hate relationship with rotary engines.. >

You and my friend, he had a very nice 93 w/ GT35R on it making 440whp and blew it up, and instead of replacing the motor, he gutted the car out and was going to put a 3 rotor in it, then gave up and bought another 93 RX7, yet he wouldnt ever sell me the other shell (because i was going to put an LS1 in it) so he has two, one runs crappy and one will never run again!

What kind of F40 kit did you have at that time too?

The 90's were a great run for sports cars weren't they? *sigh*

    The good ol' days....

Mazda had the beautiful Twin Turbo 93 RX7
    Nissan had the TT 300ZX
    Toyota had the TT Supra
Mitsubishi had the 3000GT VR4 (TT & AWD)

So much potential, so readily attainable...

    Where are we now?

Mazda has the RX8 with a NA motor, but does have a Turbo Speed-6 as a back fill.
Nissan has the 350Z with a NA motor. (Took some time for it to come out)
Toyota has nothing. (We've been waiting for the next supra forever)
Mitsubishi has nothing, but has started to push the Evo as a back fill.

    Pretty sad aint it?

I had a 1991 3000GT VR4 TT AWD, and man was that car fun!! The thing was wide and low and could handle and turn you could throw at it. I loved the feel of the turbo spooling up. I sold it to a friend of mine and he has restored every part of car to like new, and now it sits in he garage and only goes out on nice weekends. Probably a better life then i could have gave it, but I sure do miss it.

    Sorry for going Off Topic.

Awesome. yah, i've driven most of them and riden in all of them, and i have to say the VR4 was great to ride in, felt solid, partly because the thing weighed too much. My friend had a subwoofer box and the amp would whine/whirl as you would accelerate the car, im sure there is some car-stereo quick fix for that, but, it would sound like a plane taking off AND feel like it too!

    Yes, sorry to off topic....

I do not think the Mr2 is possible and i concur with the other reasoning.

I don't think many people have used that older Mr2 for kits...You dont even see many of them on the road anymore....atleast in the LA area....

All there was for it was a japanese F40 kit which looked a bit funny. Nothing else out there. I have an 89 by the way.
