Hi Hawk.. Yes, I know of them. They supply Rollers. I really wanted to build my own. The All Alloy chassis and suspension construction of the RCR-40 really drew me in.. There are no others like it on the market today.
I have a fair amount of fabrication to do - which is okay as I enjoy that type of work and have a shop to do it in... Well most of it anyway...

    Thanks!

    Regards - Randy

I really like the RCR-40 too. I have always wanted to build an accurate GT40 replica but the initial cost was an obstacle. If i ever sell my 355 replica, an RCR-40 will be my next project. But now with the cost of gasoline pushing $4.00/gal I might make it electric instead of the gas V8.

Check out Fran Hall's Latest Creations here:

    He's building one that's electric!

My RCR is not going to be accurate to a "T" but pretty close. I could not find a reasonable ZF Transaxle out there so I opted for the Porsche G50 instead.

Right now I'm designing and fabricating mounts for the starter since I had to re-clock it to clear the chassis.

Engine will go on the dyno in just a few weeks. Just got the custom cam from Inglese to work with the Webers.. This ought to be a fun car at around 2100# and ~450 HP..

I think there will be an expanding market for a lightweight plug-in electric sporty car. The new AC motor and battery technology looks very promising. Very expensive right now but that will change once volume picks up.
