It really is easy to import a kit. Doesn't cost as much as you'd think either.
Anyone who is serious is welcome to drop me a pm.

Interestingly to import from UK to USA its about 1-3% of kit price.

Import a kit from the USA to UK its 25% of the kit price :'(

importing and exporting kits is easy! I never had a problem shipping kits in to another country, there are rules and regulations that you have to follow, proper paper work makes it easy, if you dont want to deal with all the paper work just contact a broker and they will do the work for you and all you do is sit back relax and wait for your kit to come

Its dam near impossible to import a kit ... we need a list of Canadian Kit Makers so we can buy local.

Transport Canada told me you can have a kit car in Canada as long as it was built in Canada. That was back on 06 when I talked to them. Unless now you can't even build one in Canada?

Check out the other thread re "finalizing..." in Recent Posts, that will give you some hints on the difficulties you face. Personally, I think that Transport Canada imported their regulatory system from Croatia, or some other equally restrictive regime...
