    bell housing bolt patern

I had been looking for bolt pattern for gen III LS1, mid 80 chevy 60deg v6 2.8 and Audi 01E/012 trans patterns. Unfortunetaly I'm running empty with my searches.

I'm hoping that some will have exact drawings of any of the above

mid 80 chevy 60deg v6 2.8 uses a BOP (Buick Olds Pontiac) bolt pattern. A caddy 4.9, NorthStar, 3400 DOHC, 3800, 3.4 all use this bolt pattern. The LS1 is different a standard Chevy bolt pattern. Don't know about Audi. You will need an adapter to use it on non Audi engines.

    would the LS1 bolt to a 4L80
In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!

    Thanks Dave,
I like to attempt making my own adapter plate between the Auti trans to LS1 and chev 2.8. I can roughly guestimate in the dimensions but as you know if its not dead centered it will vibrate to pieces

ITALIANKNIGHTRIDER, from what i have found is that the 4l80 looks like it will mate to LS1

I have not given up yet but I'm running out of places where to look. I'm still looking for bell housing bolt pattern information for LS1 and Audi trans.

I would appreciate any info any one has on either one.

    Thank you

the main reason i asked , i saw a northstar supercharged engine on ebay for sale ,but i am not sure if it has the regular northstar bolt pattern or did they set it up for a rear wheel drive transmission like the vette trans.

It is set up for a Fiero bolt pattern. The starter is between the heads so you need to do a little work there but it will work just fine.

Northstar block has different configurtion, its variation of the older L97 or BOP pattern
LS1 and LS2 and apperently the LS6 have same bellhousing pattern

I can't comment on the LS1 LS2 and LS6. I have never worked with any of them. I have done a few of the others and they are well documented on Pennock's. If I get a chance later this week, I will ask a local dealer about them for you.
