Think I found the best solution for an Exotic Sound

Ok well I been searching away like a hound dog trying to figure out the best solution.. One thing I learned is you can convert a v8 to a single plane crank shaft as talked about in this forum by techy dudes.. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread...=122238&page=2

The next solution which seems most simple to accomplish.. Is a thing known as 1UZ's and ITB's.. It basically modifies the sound thru the valves as it seems in this video.. I gotta do more research on it but this actually sounds amazing.. Done on a v8 Toyota engine.. Check it out and let me see your thoughts..

Hi. Although using a throttle bodies conversion will give exotic sound (even on a flat-4!) and a bit more power, the fuel consumption will REALLY go through the roof!
As an example, the Ford Zetec silver-top engine has about 35 mpg stock, doing a TB conversion on it (a popular thing on Lotus 7 replicas) will reduce it to about 22 mpg...

YUKAHN... The VERY fist question that anyone who is looking to do a build is....

"How much $$$$$$ do you have for your build?"

If you are doing the build yourself and want to do it "right" expect to spend $40 - 50k on parts, modifications, Paint, etc alone.

As for the engine and tranny tyring to duplicate the Lambo sound 100% you really ony have two choices: :

    1: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAIR-...3286.m14.l1318

    2: http://www.vroombox.com/vroombox/

Now go out there and get ready to spend a TON of money... in a poor economy.... Let us know when you car is done... we will be waiting to see it.

    Hey,
Definately agree with u on that one.. Im just trying to get as close as possible.. And as I stated in earlier threads I am very new to the kit car world. I am looking to get started on my build in a month or so, just handling some personal issues first. I am looking to spend around 50k tops and maybe add things over time but get the car up and running within that much. So even if it means dealing with a decent engine etc.. Im willing to do whatever it takes to get things rolling, and upgrade over time. But I am a perfectionist at the same time and I want to do a thorough research on everything b4 I invest into this idea of owning a kit car. Thus why I am here seeking everyones help, and I appreciate all the help from you guys. Every bit of information is valuable =)

Don't look at it as spending a ton of money in a poor economy... In this same economy Lamborghini and Ferrari dealers are still selling cars. Just view yourself as being a smarter consumer than those people buying from the dealers. Which in my opinion make you a very "economy conscious" person. So go ahead an spend $50k and sleep good at night knowing you just saved $250-$300k on the car of your dreams

In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!
