No one makes them because you can get a REAL TR on eBay for around the price of a turn-key replica ($35K -$40K)

I know, I know....how about the service for one of those??...

    Oh well...

A fellow by the name of Thomas has the old CK3 molds in Calgary, Alberta and have the 512 tr, k, m and widebody. He also has the 355 and '67 Corvette Stingray. I was just there last week talking to him. He is all ready to go with lots of people calling but no one is biting. This is not his main source of income so he will not be going out of business or starving in the mean time. He is just a bit frustrated that lots of calls are not turning into sales....

I know he is setting up a web site to get pics up for everyone to see what is available.

    Thread below.

    Don

If this guy only has TR, 355 and Stingray CK-3 molds available no wonder not many people are calling.....How many people WITH CASH (not dreamers) do you know who want to build a TR or a Stingray nowadays?? okay there might be some interest still on the 355 but those kits are now outdated, and hardly worth the trouble unless his kit prices are BELOW $5K

I have an original F355 CK-3 kit (it must be at least 10 years old) that I can't give away so I can't imagine many serious builders out there wanting to build a lot of those....a few maybe and only if the kit price is low....

The newer trend is for the 430 kits, some 360, Lambo kits of any kind and even the F40 kits...

That's my personal observation of the replica market trends at the moment.

I agree with you on jdorrs TR....it looks smashing!

...but for a few $$ thou more you can buy a REAL TR so I seriously doubt anyone will buy it for his asking price - not that it's not worth the money but these cars are a tough sell at this point....

I hope he sells it along with the xtra TR body kit he has....
