    Ultimate 355 Donor

Hows this For an ultimate 355 Donor? I wonder if AD Parts would fit? Sure would be sweet. An Authentic 355 f1 chassis with a more affordable engine! Hey DKOV this is right up your alley!!!

    Re:Ultimate 355 Donor

I have actually talked to that guy! There are a couple of others too... one flood victim and another accident recovery. In all cases, they seem fairly reasonable in cost and I have most of the parts that are missing. It would be an easy fix and a nice car...

    Here's the problems though...

NONE of these guys knows ANYTHING about the cars. They don't know where it came from. How many miles. Any history. Whether or not they run or are straight. Or what else might be missing or wrong.

They don't even have the title to this car. How can you be sure it's not out for a theft recovery and as soon as you register it, the police show up and recover it for the previous owner. In that case, your money IS LOST with little or no chance of recovery.

If it were "Bob's Ferrari that he wrecked and is selling on his own", I'd consider it. But these Bastard cars with no past and no credible milage? I don't think so. Not at $40,000 + bucks!

Now we know where all DKOV's parts came from. (j/k DKOV)

How about buying it and registering it as a kit?

I was thinking that I have a Fiero GT body sitting here that I took off for my F355 project... Hmmm...

Adapt the Fiero panels to the 355 chassis and BAM!

    A Fiero Kit

Do you think anyone will be able to tell? They'd be like... "What, is that a KIT Fiero? Looks like crap! You can tell because of........."

Oh, and RCR.... Shhhhhh... Don't give away ALL my secrets!

This could also be the ultimate waste of money. I have also talked to the guy that has all these salvaged cars, i'd much rather build a 355 on a fiero for $15 grand and spend the other 20 on the engine, interior, wheels etc.
