Still looking for a used driverside headlight motor

I have rebuilt the motor I have and I just cannot get it to work right. If I turn them on I just touch the man. knob and it comes up, and them the man. knob jumps a little bit. I have taken it apart two times now and it just doesn't work right!

I give up unless someone can help, otherwise I am looking for a used driverside headlight motor.

    Bobby:

Did you rebuild the 3 plastic drive lugs in the lifting mechanism and the motor or just the motor?

I have only rebuild a few of these but it sounds like the shims in the motor assembly are not properly set. Do you remember if you put the washer like shims in the same place they were removed for the rebuild?

Washer like shimes? I am not sure what your refering to. I don't really remember any washers in the motor, maybe thats why? Just where do they go and what would they ad space to?

Nevermind, after I rebuilt it, it wasn't working right. I was playing with it and trying to adjust it some how and I killed the battery, A new battery and it fine, I guess I can say if yours starts to act up, and the gears are not stripped try a new battery or a differn't one?

Glad you fixed it. I was beginning to wonder what else could be wrong.
