    WTB:T-top conversion

I am looking for a t-top conversion or an entire cheap t-top car.

I am making my AD coupe a GTS and think the t-top would be the easiest way about this. I would like to cut the t-bar out and apply the mounting hardware to the center targa roof section. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bob, I've got one T-top parts car here and there is another one in the junkyard that I am about to go check on. I forget where you live. Are you close enough to Central California to come pick parts up? You know you'd still have to do all the same bracing as a convertible if you do the targa... But it would be very cool!

    Dale,
Unfortunately I live in Erie, PA about 2500 miles east of you. I have rocker supports that weld in around the door hinges and under the rocker all the way up the back of the door and along the trunk.
It is so stiff, if you jack up one wheel the other wheel on the same side comes off of the ground.

What I need is the hardware and trim covers for the glass tops(dont need the actual glass) and the roof section with the provisions and trim for the hardware to mount. It would probably be best to get it al the way from the windshield to the rear glass.

Would you be willing to cut your car up or would you like to keep it whole?

It is not a CJB car and honestly, the rest of the car is worthless. Cutting it up is exactly why I bought it a year ago but just have too many projects so never got it done. At the time I still had my 88 CJB GT so it wasn't really a priority. I don't know how shipping would be, but I'm game if you are... If you want to send me a number and a good time to call, we can talk about it.

    Re: WTB:T-top conversion

I now have three complete used T-top conversions for sale... This includes T-top glass, headliner, H-bar, weatherstrip, and dome light. I just took off the weatherstrip from around the door and then cut the A and B pillars a few inches down. I'm looking for $500 + shipping for these. FieroWarehouse sells this same setup for $1000. PM me if interested.

    Re: WTB:T-top conversion

I want that t-top car. I just cant see spending over $1000 to get it shipped from CA to PA. If anyone has a t-top car to sell along the east coast I would like to inquire. I have an 8.5'x26' enclosed trailer and could pick one up between PA to FL. Please let me know.

    Dale,
Too bad you couldn't somehow get your car to your place in GA and I could pick it up myself. Nice chatting with you, please let me know if you have any other alternatives.

Sent you a PM... I can ship you one of the two T-top roof sections I have a lot cheaper than I can ship a complete car.
