I hope you don't get stuck with paying for most of the shipping. But anyway you slice it shipping something this big and heavy overseas will be expensive. From my experience DHL was the cheapest way to ship oversized (car parts) items to Europe. Of course there are cheaper shipping companies out there if you or your buyer don't mind waiting 3+ months for your stuff to get there. You also might want to check container companies (in the Yellow Pages or Internet) which specialize in moving and packaging entire households for a move overseas. Do you homework and you will find someone willing to ship it at a reasonable price.

I don't know where you are in the US but you should try 'DSV Air & Sea Inc.' They shipped my kit for reasonably cheap. They have an office in Minneapolis as well as many other major cities.
Slower but probably cheaper than DHL

You might try checking the Long Beach yellow pages. There might be a lot of freight companies since that's where all the shipments go from.
