About Lamborghinimantoo
Started with the ORIGINAL fella who copied the original Countach in 1983. He ran a Meura back then and wanted a Countach body for his car. So they RENTED an original for a month (?) and decided to copy it in fiberglass by making a mold. So they splashed an original LP400, or early 5000, {with the parascopic roof rear view mirror}, aluminum bodied car by spraying on fiberglass. Of course it was waxed, taken apart and mold released, BUT, when it hardened (creating heat) wrinkeled it up like a prune. He advertised the plugs in fiberglass in the 1984 Kit Car Magazines! There were 5 sold. Started the replicas in Canada and in England. So I have been striving to finish my cars ever since! I have built 5. None of them finished by me as of 2015! So don't feel bad!!! I had one of the original plugs. I restore antique autos and I have been building cars since 1961. Drag raced from 1961 thru 1969. Again from 1978- 1984. 5 World of Wheels first place trouphies. Many others earned too. Back when I was younger and hungry to show what I could do. I do NOT claim to be a know-it-all!
I also taught autobody, welding, and drafting courses in Florida. Including restoration classes. I have 40+ molds for the Countach. Which I MAY sell. I still have 3 of those car projects from my molds to build. All different models of the Countach. I do not have a model of when Chrysler owned them. I also own a genuine Lamborghini. Again, I learn from you guys!!!! When I have time to read your posts. You guys into the Countach models. I have built other kit cars in my shop for other people over the past 4 decades. But usually don't do KIT cars.
