    3d printed car and chassis

Guys have a look at this, a totally new way to build car chassis, and a nice looking end result, only shame is its not electric.

You should checkout wikihouse for building cnc homes.

That 3D car has an epic design... I just hope a bolt together, cheap chassis gets on the market soon to really open the kit market up.

3D and Ultimately 4D printing is certainly intriguing and holds epic potential for the future of development and manufacturing to be done in a more efficient manner in both production and financial aspects.

Cars are certainly one application. But the bigger picture is far more vast than transportation. While I too look to this as a possible way to manufacture kit car designs that are far more exotic... I worry about certain limitations that may be imposed on this type of product to avoid copyright infringements and possible legality issues with people designing their own cars and other products...

I may be thinking more on the dark side of this discussion but there is a part of me that sees limitless capacity for creativity and innovation using this new technology and worry about those who may limit or stifle that same creativity for fear of misuse....

    Thoughts?

The west preaches rights and freedoms but if other countries like Russia, China and Iran offer better "freedoms", real innovation is going to go there.
One only has to look into history to see how the oligarchs here have setup a justice system so that people like the inventor of the windshield wiper is dragged into courts for years and to eventually lose out.
