    i robot

    hey guys

    just went and saw I robot and am curious about the scene with the bridge and the sign referring to lake michigan.
    can anyone shed some light on what the bridge is and where this is relating to
    really enjoyed the movie

    I thought it might have been the Golden Gate Bridge but i dont know i could be wrong

    It might be Mackinac Bridge It's like 3 miles long.

    http://www.mackinacbridge.org/ Here is a great lik. What a great big bridge. I've never seen that bridge before. It looks bigger than the Golden Gate. Slacker that link you posted was the Golden gate. "sfgate" was a give away it stands for SAN FRANCISCO GATE.That's where the golden gate bridge is in San Francisco. But they do look similar. Is this the bridge in I ROBOT?

    that certainly looks like it, quite an amazing peice of engineering.
    i went to the i robot movie site and couldn't find any information regarding the bridge.but i notice that the movie was mainly made in canada so i suppose it fits

    If it was shot in Canada, Most likely in and around Vancouver ... it could possibly be the Alex Faser bridge.
    I haven't seen the movie yet but this bridge is massive. In 1986 it was the longest cable stayed bridge in the world. It uses a composite steel beam and precast concrete slab deck system.
