Can't believe this donor has never been used!

    Nissan 300 ZX 3.0 V6 TARGA TWIN TURBO 2 SEATS ** MODIFIED ** 340 BHP **

    For an Aston replica...

The interior is very close to a modern aston interior (with minimal work).
The exterior is very close to a Vantage. Wheelbase very close (close enough to work). Long engine bay (allowing for good side rake gap between front wheel and side door). Good windscreen angle (not up and proud like the celica or old jag). Front engined and rear wheel drive. V6 twin turbo, easily modified to kick out some power and good exhaust notes.

With the skills of some of you excellent builders out there I'm surprised this donor hasn't been used!

The 4 seater version could be turned into a decent looking short One-77 version even.

It would be an awesome kit. I made a photoshop of it once.

A corvette would be the ideal donor for a one-77 due to much longer front end.
The 300zx is really short in comparison. IMO the 300zx would only suit the vantage.
If you see the Vantage, DB9 and one-77 in the flesh you'll see what I mean.

The vanquish could be done on a new shape jag xk. The wheelbase is almost spot on, as is the roof line, height, width, windscreen rake and overall proportions.
Cheapest one in the UK is around 11k.
But i seriously doubt anyone could or would mould the vanquish. Aston would destroy anyone even writing about it......

The only issue I see with the 300ZX is its they can get expensive in the used car lot.

From memory, you need rip the whole engine out for basic mechanical repairs, 300zx is a terrible choice

I had one awhile ago and it is the tightest most cramped engine bay i've ever seen.

Convert it to a v8 and it should be a blast to drive... without gremlin repairs needed with their stock 20 year old parts.
