This is a beautiful car! I happy you stuck with it. I can tell you I lost hope a number of times during my AD355 and just wanted to give up. I had the same experience you had with paint and body, the car was gone around 2 years. Everytime I was going to take the car back I got a message right before showing me another step done. In the end my body guy did such an amazing job it was well worth the wait. But seeing your car makes me want to go through it all over again.

I hope you are having the time of your life in it, you deserve it.

I have driven approx 1000 miles in her so far
Everything was going well until one of my BC Racing shocks failed
not what you would expect after just 1000 miles
a really replacement damper is 100 because I actually bought them 3 yrs ago not covered under warranty
does anyone else have experience of BC Racing coilovers failing?

mine failed in similar fashion after 3 years, barely any miles as i was building the car. I switched to Meister R's instead. They are basically the same, but it was principal to me

GeorgeL and TheFerret, I am not familiar with that brand, but if they are true racing shocks, I am surprised that you got 1,000 miles being away from a smooth racetrack and I would expect the other three to fail soon. On the positive side, if they are true racing shocks, it should be easy to rebuild all four of them for twenty bucks. That replacement damper deal just does not sound right. Dampers do not fail, valves do, twenty bucks for all four along with the other service parts. Dampers are nothing but a stack of washers.
