    Long time replica builder, new Mad Mechanics member

    I wanted to introduce myself. I got into the kit car/replica hobby in the early 1990's by building a Classic Roadsters Cobra. I still own it and it's my regular commute car today. After that I decided to scratch build a Ferrari 250GTO. You may of seen that project in Kit Car magazine (before it went out of circulation) in the Last Chance Garage serial article. That project is still active more than 12 years later. Without further ado, here's some pictures:

    I think I might do a build thread on the GTO. At least show a series of build pictures for those interested in a DYI scratch build project.

    I've already started to read some of your build threads and I'm excited to join in the conversation. Hopefully I can help answer some questions and pass along some of what I've learned in my projects.

    Joel;

    Welcome to the forum. I followed your build in the magazine and was disappointed that it stalled for a period and then the mag wen tout of business.

    Please start a build thread here as I think everyone here would really appreciate all the work you put into the custom chassis and the refitting you did to get the body widened and set on to the frame with the Thunder Ranch owner.

    Really looking forward to following this build more here.

    Again, welcome and join the fun.

    Cheers

    Welcome aboard, as I hope to learn some things about kit cars. I have always liked the different types of kits.

    Hey, Welcome aboard. I too followed the build in LCG. I thought it looked familiar when I saw it in the build section. Awesome job.

    I too must join with the others in offering a big welcome! I, like Don followed the mag article with great interest, and was sad to be left hanging on you build, and the demise of the mag!
