    Fender Emblems

What's the deal with the Ferrari fender emblems.

Are they just add on's or do they make the car special (trim)? I think they look very cool. What are the prices on them??

    TIA,
    Ron

The real ones are baked enamel on a curved metal plate and run up to $820.00 each! http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/emblems.htm

You can get AccuDome decals for $94,50 or $49.95 each depending on size or just pick up some regular decals (which also come in various sizes) for $4.95 and up. http://www.image-homes.com/Adv.html

    Re:Fender Emblems

The "story" goes that the only cars AUTHORIZED to wear the Scuderia Shield on the fenders like that were cars that were factory owned and released FROM Scuderia Ferrari.

ANY other Ferrari, real or otherwise, is considered an abomination.

As for the actual materials and such... he's correct. It's an enamel badge. It is depressed into the steel fender.

    Pretty rare, they are.

    Re:Fender Emblems

The Last year of the Ferrari 355 had a special edition of 200 cars with Scuderia Shields. You can tell the OEM fender has a recessed area in the fender for the Scuderia Shield to fit into. There are plenty of aftermarket Scuderia Shields available and I have a source for them in South Florida.

The raised decals like I had on my Mirage kit were $12.50 each at Ferrari of Atlanta over the counter pricing and looked nice on the car, the Euro lights are $29.00 per side if you want to use those from Ferrari of Atlanta as well.

My latest 355 Air Dynamics creation will have replica shields.

Here are the details for those shields.

    Subject: Scuderia Shields

The price is $200 per pair plus postage.

Payment is made by check or money order.

The shields are metal and measure 4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide and the color is fired glass cloisonne. The horse is available in CHROME (for 360's only) or BLACK (for all models).

They are approximately 1/8 inches thick and weigh about 8 ounces each.

They can be installed with double stick tape or with epoxy.

They are the same color and size as the OEM shields.

Feel free to call/contact me with any questions and I can pass along the name and number of the guy to you.

    Re:Fender Emblems

Go under parts on Ebay and search Ferrari and they have all emblems you'll need on there and at really good prices.

The emblems are ebay are inexpensive, thats for sure. But 95% of the emblems are aftermarket or reproductions (poor quality).

    POLL:

Here is an example, can you spot the real deal (dealership) and aftermarket (ebay)...
