    widening front suspension

Hey to all, I am finally building my car and I would like to use a c-4 front suspension unit. I need the unit to be around 62.50 inches from outside hub to hub. I was wondering what affect on it will have on handling if I replicate the sub-frame 1 inch wider to my chassis? Thanks for any help. Luke

Just so you know, Corvettes use very high offset wheels (56mm). If you are only looking for an inch you could easily get some lower offset wheels to make up that difference. Bmw will fit the same lug pattern, have some good designs, and have wheel offset around 30-38mm.

Thanks for the info... I want is to be a 62.5 inches hub to hub and use a 0 off set and 8 inch or 9 inch rim..the problem right now is that the rim would be sitting out about 5 1/2 inches..I dont know how that would effect the handling and weight distribution and fatigue on the bearings..thanks Luke
