    How can I make a plug and latex mold

    I would like to learn how to make a plug for a 288 GTO front turn signa lights (the ones in the bumber) they are half amber the other half is clear. I then need to know how to make a laytex or silicone mold to make the parts from. I saw what I think might work in amida project with the F40 build. This would be a big help and truly apreciate any and all imput.

    Thanx

    Jack;

    Get in touch with Ev_Rob(sp??) on the forum. He has done several turn signals and may be able to explain how to do it for you. He has a thread in the Mall section that shows his work. It looks very good.

    Good luck and make two sets....

    Cheers

    Re: How can I make a plug and latex mold

    Jack;

    Some day it is still in my dreams. I still have the frame and I have a set of panels from the 328 molds, and I am slowly accumulating parts for it. I plan to put the 3.4 DOHC into the 355 over the Xmas time so I can get room in the garage and then get back to glassing and cleaning up so I can get the 355 off to paint. Once it is off to paint, I can pull the 288 frame in and start getting it prepped.

    My wife and daughter also bought a 1967 Mustang off my brother and they are looking to have a family project with it so that one may well trump my 288 for the next year or so. If I have someone pushing me to get out to the garage like my daughter will, I can get that one set up and done relatively quickly to get me on to the 288.

    I always remember when I was in the Canadian Military I had lots of spare time but no money. Now I have the money but no time. It never seems to work out well for the two together.... ;o)

    Cheers

    Well when you actuall start the 288 let me know and I will hook you up with the panels I have, they will be much nicer than the 328 panels to work with.
