a Reliant Kitten with a difference!!

Hi all my names Luke and i am currently building a reliant kitten, with a suzuki gsxr1000 engine in it.

It will be rear wheel drive with the engine in the front as i want to still use the car for everyday use and rallies.

Over the next few weeks/months/years ;D i may ask a few very silly questions that i dont know to help me through my build so bare with me!!

I wont take up anymore of your time

    thanks

    Luke

Welcome to the forum Luke and good luck with your build. What exactly is a reliant kitten?? You should post some photos of your build and by all means, ask your questions and we will be happy to help when we can.

    Hi FB

Sorry about spell check, im new to the forum and didnt see the button. =)

Im not sure how to upload pictures just yet but this is a link to the car http://www.motorbase.com/pictures/co...tten_-LF-2.jpg

This is not mine but its what i have got.

    First question

Im running a propshaft from the engine cog (modified it) to the axle. As of yet i am not too sure what axle i want to use, the original axle isnt up to the job as its maximum hp it can handle is about 80hp and i am looking for about 150hp at the back wheels from the engine.

I have been told that the best axle to use is one from a ford sierra but i am worried that i wont be able to keep the same hubs (from a mini) to keep the same wheels front and back.

I also want to fit it with trailing arms and springs as at present its running on leafs and handles like a pig!!

I have seen a few setups, but as of yet i cant seem to find any decent pictures or diagrams of the set up and the conversion

    thanks in advance

    Luke
