    Building a body?

Hey guys, just found the board, love all the sweet projects going on here! Fantasic workmanship for sure.
I was hopeing for some guidence, I'm looking to creat a custom widebody on a 350z and was wondering what would be the best way to protect the car's paint from resin, and bondo, ect. while I sculpt the fenders front bumper, ect.
I've also been looking into foam but unsure what I should get since I've read majority is bad since it keeps expanding over time..

I figured I would make the shape over the widebody parts with foam and bondo, seal it, and then make fiberglass molds. Then from the molds pull the parts.

Any insight, thoughts or suggestions would be fantasic.

I joined since everyone here is all about custom and being creative, the guys on the 350z boards are no help, all they say is buy a pre made one or stay oem.. Not any help >

    Thank you

i would buy a cheap ebay body kit and use that as a base to mold/scuplt/shape the wide body.keep the stock parts in oem condition.its no big deal if you cut up,bond and shape the after market fiberglass.that way if you mess up you havent ruined your good parts.

what about when doing the doors or rear quarter panels?... I though about using tape to cover it up but I dont want it to leak or anything..

Thanx...The foam is Polyisocyanurate (or isocyanurate). I bought the 4'x8'x1" sheet at Home Depot. It's about $15 a sheet. I used about 2/3 of a sheet to do the nose and sides.
