    V8 in a Mr2 W3?

    Hi
Is it possible to get an V8 out an a BMW 540i and put it into a Mr2 W3?
Or what can i do to get much Power in a Mr2 W3 with 140 PS ???
A Turbo is to expensive and did not give enough Power.

your doing something wrong if turbo didnt give you more power than a v8. how many # of boost did you have. a turbo set up can be built for under $1000 with quality parts i know the tricks.

Yes, you can fit a V8 in but not BMW its too big, you'll need the Audi V8.

Would you need to do any stretching or cutting of the firewall or whatever that is by the seats? What kind of transmission/axle would you use? This sounds interesting.

With a Turbo you can have much more power than a V8 Engine.
An engine swap is also not cheaper than a Turbo.

You'll need to cut through the firewall and reposition the cross-member, mate the box to an audi 01x oe 01e, which is a diesel 2.5tdi manual box, 034 motorsport can sell you a flywheel conversion.

They look like this connected together

and like this in the car

Then when your bored 340-400 hp, the V8 soundtrack and all the low end torque, you can twin turbo or supercharge and go silly.

    Hi Paul,

I mentioned this build some time ago [I saw it on TwoBrutal] and what I liked was that there was no major bodywork mods aside from the crossmember.

If I'm not mistaken you were even going to add a Fezze dual valve exhaust, which would give a note far more like the real thing.

Yep, it fits under standard bodywork, so if someone wants to use it as a donor for something else(DNA/ exact/ etc) they can.

I'll put the pics in tonight, cant post them from work.

Or can the 4 cyl take a twin turbo..I guess the question would be how to eliminate the lag in it.
