Who makes frame reinforcements for convertibles?

Who all makes a frame reinforcement kit for chopping a Fiero's top? I know B&B Spyder has one, but they refuse to answer emails... is there anyone else? Thanks!

this is the x-frame that I used on my car. If you can't weld, you can always have it built for you. You will save a few $$$$ on shipping all that steel also.

One word of caution on making and installing an X-frame for reinforcement...the gas tank.

If you ever have to replace your fuel pump, remove the gas tank to work on the fuel sender, etc. be sure to have a way to remove the X-frame or have a removable section.

One way is to use bolts to have a removable center section.

I havent done this have read about it. I wanted to mention this to potential builders, since the biggest surprise comes when it is installed and you want to take your fuel tank out and then you do a Homer Simpson DOH!! LOL

I used the "X" frame like glenngdman has laid out with a twist. I am installing radiators in the rear like the 355 and have welded tails on the end of the "X" frame then did some additional reinforcing to remove the flexing in the cockpit.

Note: Removable section to drop the gas tank.

If you're not confused, you're not paying attention.
