    Ferrari 550 kit...in go-kart size?

    Hey,

Since I'm dead broke and have no space to make a kit car,
I've decided to make a go kart with a fiberglass body of a
Lambo or Ferrari. Reminder that this is the size of a small
tractor and will have 10 to 20 hp so obviously custom mini
    body

Can anyone help in any way? Any help (even advice) is greatly
appreciated and if possibly rewarded however I can help.

Sure I may be finishing my last year of high school but don't
we all have that inner child wanting to jump into a tiny little
buggy and go 40mph? Sure we do
    Help a fellow being.

    Thanks everyone.

tThere is a magazine that is called the dupont registry. They have go-karts in there try calling one of them up and see if they sell the fiberglass kit.

I think the stock motors max out at 12 to 15 MPH.But it is possible to use a motorcycle motor for greater speed

i dont mean the kit go karts, those are so expensive for what
little crap u can get. its around $300 for a a couple of pipes
    bent in U shapes.

i will do the rollcage/frame myself or get it done by a pro,
but im looking for help with a fiberglass kit...
will i have to build myself?

also about the engines, there are no real "stock" engines for
go karts. the ones you mean are actually lawnmower engines
sold new since they do the same work.

i can get a 15hp engine on ebay for pertty cheap, but how
do i turbocharge a lawnmower engine?!

hey I'v been thinking the same type of thing only an Enzo. I have a cad program I am trying to designe a mold with and am going to make a tubular frame and use a skidoo engine. I figured it would be a good way to start out with fiberglass.

hey, this is an OLD thread but the project has evolved a
BIG amount, and is alot more realistic

i'll get a golf cart and strip it to leave a solid aluminum frame
what i get is a frame, fitting size wheels, steering, and a basic
engine setup that i can add to or change

then like kit cars, i'll add a rollcage and better engine, then i'll
design my own body, 100% original and will have exciting new
features like scuicide butterfly doors, custom leather interior,
    surround sound etc..

but thats only if i find a cheap golf cart soon
