Fiero SIDE WINDOW GLASS install Help!

    Fiero SIDE WINDOW GLASS install
Can anyone offer help on replacing the side window glass on a Fiero?
I came across replacement some real nice door glass at a junk yard yesterday. I ended up removing every nut I could find under the door panel. After removing the outer door skin, I removed the glass through the bottom of the door. It was a bear getting this glass out of the door. I hate to think of how difficult it may be to reinstall it on my car.
Can anyone offer instructions as to how to do this correctly?

    they are not that hard...
remove the inner and outer door skins, remove the inner felt and the 2 end caps then roll the window all the way down. get a grinder and grind off the head of the rivets and tap them out with a punch then just pull the glass out the top. to reinstall just rivet or bolt them back in and reinstall the parts on the door. if you still have the bottom track on the glass it will not come out the top.

    Thank you all

I see drilling out the rivits on the plastic stops make it much easier removing and installing the glass from the top rather than bringing the window out from the bottom of the door.

Does anyone know where to get that felt material used on the guides or would it be better to just buy new ones? Seams like the felt stuff is just held in place with contact cement.

No - the fuzzy little pads that cause all the Fiero windows to scratch when they get old, worn and full of sand. (4 per window) Two on each side of the glass.

The Fiero store claims it's a type of felt. It would be simple to replace if you had the correct material.

I came across something that I think will work out OK. I had a roll of black industrial Velcro that has a sticky back and is it's 2" wide. I just used the soft side and replaced the worn out felt. It's not as fuzzy as OEM but I think it will work out well.
