You may want to read my three part series "So you want to build a kit car?" on http://lambobuilder.wordpress.com I also have an eManual on building a Diablo 6.0 but the techniques are used in any car. You can preview the first two chapters at http://www.lambobuilder.com/emtemp/testdrive.htm
An internet search of making a fiberglass mold as well as using the search feature should yield some results on mold making.

lambobuilder, your build doc is well done, gave me a good picture of what goes into your builds.

ON THE OTHER HAND, that bladebuild series is a padded, bloated waste of time. Plus it made my computer crash a few times.
It could have been done in about one HUNDREDTH the time and still got the same information out (make sections in plywood, stuff in foam, carve, coat with fiberglass and sand a lot ...) geeeezzz

Go to this site, http://www.rqriley.com/frp-foam.htm, and see how they do a one-off design. If you intend to make several you will need to make a mould but if you will only be building one it is much easier to use their method. I would look for an existing frame or find someone to build one if you are not experienced in frame design and fabrication. Use a commonly available engine and transaxle. You do not need alot of horsepower in a light weight car. Contact me at eric@kitcarchassis.com if you have any more questions
