Thread: V8 exhaust talk

    V8 exhaust talk

Looking for input on transverse mounted V8 exhaust components. I'd appreciate any recommendations for mufflers, catalytic convertors, and design. Photos welcomed! Thanks.

Sorry, wasn't meant as a joke. The guy did all the calculations to maximize power for that 406. All the primaries are of equal length. If anything it's a basis for something a bit cleaner.

I wasn't sure where you were coming from! I know there are V8 people on the forum. I was hoping someone would reply with how they set up their exhaust (which "shorty" headers, mufflers, cats etc..). I guess none of them have read this topic yet!

    Re: V8 exhaust talk

I am running the late model Corvette manifolds that Archie sent with the kit along with the Cherry Bomb mufflers. Everything is 100 percent except for the wiring. I'll try to take a few pics this weekend. I can't wait to bump it off!!!!!
I also used header wrap and utility wire to wrap the pipes near the ac components. ;D

I USED SANDERSON HEADERS AND WRAPPED THEM WITH HEADER TAPE ( NOTE THIS VOIDS ANY WARRANTY ON THE HEADERS ). I AM PLANNING TO USE FLOW MASTERS WITH SOME RESONATOR TIPS. AT THIS TIME I JUST HAVE SOME OLDER CORVETTE MUFFLERS ON JUST TO GET IT RUNNING.
AND THIS THING SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD AS IT IS.
