Chrysler Vision 3.5 l engine in Fiero - Is that possible?

    Hello,

Iīve spend a lot of time to find the right engine to upgrade a Fiero before I do a body-conversation.

Right here in Germany it isnīt simple to buy a Buick engine 3.8 l V6 with 200 HP, only the old once with 170 HP are available.>

Wrecked cars are totally not available, cars with a lot of miles are placed about 6000 $, only the old Pontiac Trans Port with 170 HP you can get under 2500 $.

My questions now - Is it possible, to put a Chrysler Vision 3.5 l V6 (215 HP) engine in a Fiero with the original Fiero 5-speed gearbox?

These cars are here available for about 2000 $!

What I have to do to make the engine adaptable to the transmission?

I hope you can understand what i want, my english is very bad. :

    Thanks a lot.

    Greets
    Michael

    Michel:

I looked into the Chrysler power plant for my car. My plan was to cut out the trunk and use the entire drive train. The engine faces north and south and the transaxle faces east and west. It will fit under the engine cover. The suspension and axles will work as well. Get the wiring and computer with your parts. It is necessary to build a new engine cradle but that is not so hard. Use the Chrysler frame assembles and "A" arms from the donor car.

    Hope that helps you?

That sounds great, but thereīs still a problem.

The Chrysler engine comes only with a automatic transmission!
I donīt really want a F355 Replica with that.

Is it possible to put the original Fiero 5-speed gearbox at the Chrysler Vision 3.5 l V6 engine with a adapter plate.

How can I get something like this adapter?

I don't see how. Why don't you just keep the regular engine in the car?

You might try a search on Pennrock's fiero forum. Besides the mechanical issues, it seems there are some significant electrical challenges.
