    Empty bumper......on my replica ??????

    How do you reinforce your bumpers ? Mine are empty.....I want to take care of this situation in case of an impact......Ho do you guys do it?

    Can your bumpers be removed? if so you'll have to "or have someone" fit a Reinforcement bar to the chassis. Some builders do not factor this into a built which is just wrong. Ever vehicle needs to have protection front, rear and sides. Usually a piece of 2"x4"x1/8" Sq tube can do this job fine, being sure its completely tied into the chassis. If you want post up some pics and I can help you design a reinforcement bar.

    Just smart enough to be very Dangerous

    It might seem silly, but I'd consider using spray foam. Most modern cars are using some sort of foam for bumper impact protection.

    Mario, for the rear, I was able to bolt in the standard Fiero metal pressed plate bumper onto my chassis. The Koenig body will sit outside of the chassis. When talking with Blaine years back, CK3 left it up to the individual as to whether one warranted it! In the front a rectangular tube was added which also acts as the hood tilt framework....
