Tranny options for tube chassis Countach

I have a tube chassis Countach with a longitudinal mounted 350 to Porsche 914 transmission. The shifter is very sloppy and as I get the engine up to a decent hp, the tranny will not keep up. Can I mount an Audi tranny or the 930 tranny without too much modification? Are the 915 and 930 trannys interchangable with the 914 (901) as far as motor mounts, shifter linkage, etc? Thanks!!

The mounts and the shifter will be different for the 915 and 930. The 930 would be the better choice if you can find one at a decent price. Either the 915 or 930 can have the ring gear flipped or you can run them upside down. I think Renegade has the shifters for them.

Bummer! I was hoping to swap out the 914 to a stronger 930 without mounts etc.. Oh well, I will just have to take it easy on the tranny. Thanks for the information!
